Store

The store is the publisher’s catalog of workers for your box. You pay one monthly price per function. Payment happens on the store’s payment page in your browser. The box never sees card data.

Before you start

The box is enrolled. See Store enrolment.

Steps

See the catalog

1. Open Administration, sub-tab Packages, panel Store.
2. Press Refresh catalog.
3. Each function shows its name, its monthly price, a badge with its state, and its workers.

Subscribe

1. Press Subscribe on the function. (“Subscribe (no price yet)” cannot be pressed: the store has no price for it yet.)
2. Press Open the payment page. Pay on the store’s page.
3. Come back to the box: “The store opens the payment page in your browser; come back here when it says the payment is received.” The page checks every few seconds.
4. The badge changes from “checkout pending” to “active”.

Install a store worker

1. Under the function, open Permissions on the worker: Requires, Will be granted, Declined, You choose at install.
2. If the publisher shows “NOT trusted on this appliance yet”, register it first under Trusted publishers.
3. Answer the install questions.
4. Press Install.
5. Wait for the steps “Reserve the installation at the store”, “Download the signed package”, “Verify, unpack and bind the package”, “Acknowledge the activation to the store”.

The worker then appears under Installed packages marked “from the store”. The store row says “Installed: manage it under Installed packages below.”

An install the store still holds

An install that failed and was removed can still be held by the store. The worker then shows Install with the note “The store still holds an install from this box that never finished. Install takes it over with the answers above.” Answer the questions and press Install. The row under Installed packages then says “took over the store’s unfinished install”.

Manage a subscription

1. On an active function, press Manage subscription.
2. Press Open the subscription page. It opens the store’s page for invoices, payment method and cancellation. “The link is valid for a short time.”

Cancel a subscription

1. First uninstall every worker of the function (see below). Cancel subscription stays greyed out while one is installed.
2. Press Cancel subscription, then Confirm cancel.
3. “It ends at the period end.” The badge shows “cancels” and the date.

What you see afterwards

The badge of each function:

Badge	Meaning
not subscribed	No subscription. Subscribe is offered.
checkout pending	Payment started, not received yet.
active	Paid. You can install the workers.
cancels and a date	Ends at the period end. The function says “Cancelled: the functions of this bundle can be used until …”.
payment past due	The store did not receive the payment. Use Manage subscription.
subscription ended	Ended. Subscribe is offered again.

What happens to an installed worker

• Uninstall a store worker: every binding is reversed, the worker’s workspace on the box is deleted, and the signed receipt goes to the store. “The last package of a bundle ends its subscription at the period end.”
• A cancelled subscription keeps its workers working until the period end. Then, within a day, they stop: they take no new tasks, Chat says “The subscription for … has ended. Subscribe again to use this worker.”, and the row under Installed packages says “Stopped” and “Files are kept until you uninstall.” Nothing is deleted.
• Subscribe again to the function: the same workers resume with their files. Nothing is installed anew.
• Uninstall stays your decision; the box never uninstalls a worker by itself.
• Your tasks, files and knowledge stay on the box. They never went to the store.
• If the store cannot be reached, the box keeps the receipt and sends it later.

Not possible yet

A store worker can be installed only once per box, a store worker cannot be updated from the box, and the enrolment cannot be undone in the portal. For questions about prices and invoices, use Manage subscription or the store’s documentation above.
